Class Description:Bruce Honer is teaching this four-week course on the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Join us beginning Wednesday March 4 - Wednesday March 25 leading up to Easter as we celebrate the importance and centrality of the resurrection to the gospel and our relationship with Christ.
The class will consist of 4 main explorations:
1. The Promise of the Resurrection in Scripture
2. The Resurrection in the Gospel Accounts
3. Convincing Evidence for the Resurrection
4. Our Hope of Resurrection Because of the Resurrection of Christ
In recent decades, some “Christian” scholars have proclaimed that the bodily Resurrection of Jesus Christ never occurred and that we can still be good Christians without it believing it.
1 Corinthians 15 says that “if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost.” The fact that Jesus was raised from the dead is central to our salvation.
Please join us as we explore scripture in both the Old and New Testament concerning the resurrection, discuss convincing evidence of the bodily resurrection of Christ while soundly refuting theories that say otherwise, and then discuss the hope we have of our own resurrection at the Last Day.
