REQUIREMENTS FOR PROCESSING

In order for your application to be processed, all of the following information must be returned to us as soon as possible. Please note, filling out the application is not a guarantee that you will be placed on the team. A follow up interview may be requested after submitting your application. You will be emailed a confirmation letter upon acceptance.

A) Complete this application form.

B) Those over 18 must complete the "Permission to Obtain a Background Check" form (If you have already done a background check in the last two years, you do not need to do it again). You will be emailed the link (from howie@lccredding.org) to complete the form. By California law, all adults 18 and over must also be live scanned through LCC and complete Mandated Reporter training. We will provide the online training materials. A current mandated reporter certificate through another agency is acceptable.

MINISTRY AND MODELING

On this mission, we are serving as representatives of the churches in San Vicente. In essence, we are working on their behalf. Because Mexico has customs that may differ from what we are used to, we strive to conduct ourselves with cultural sensitivity and respect at all times.

Please observe the following guidelines:

• No smoking (including vaping) or drinking alcohol.

• No coarse language or inappropriate joking.

• Be mindful of how we conduct ourselves with the opposite sex and in public settings. For example, dancing is considered taboo in this context.

• Dress modestly.
– No cleavage, sleeveless or cropped tops, short shorts, or leggings (yoga pants) worn as pants.
– Men should not go shirtless and should avoid “sagging.”
– For church services, women should wear long dresses or skirts, and men should wear collared dress shirts with pants.
– The dress code will be explained in greater detail during training.

• Strive to support one another and avoid anything that could cause division within the team.

As we serve together, our goal is to honor the Lord, respect the local culture, and represent our churches well.

In order to be culturally sensitive and to honor those ministries we wish to serve, it is our policy that there is no smoking or drinking alcohol, inappropriate language during witness trips. This trip will also require a culturally sensitive dress code. Do you agree to abide by this policy?

FINANCIAL POLICIES

1. Each participant is expected to provide or raise their own finances for the outreach.

2. The cost of the training and outreach is $600.00. Please review the financial deadlines listed above (you will be emailed payment deadlines.)

3. All payments must be made in U.S. dollars.

4. All personal and medical expenses incurred while involved with Little Country Church Witness trips are the responsibility of the individual.

I understand that the registration fee of $50 is non-refundable. I have completed all portions of this application. If accepted, I will abide by the Spirit, policies and schedule of the program, and if I am sent home from my outreach I will accept full financial responsibility.
