Widow Wood For Christ is a ministry of Little Country Church in Redding, California.

The Purpose of Widow Wood for Christ is to first come alongside widows and then for those that are fully disabled to provide a cord of firewood for heat. It is cut and delivered to those who meet the guidelines taken from 1 Timothy 1:5-16

This ministry is staffed entirely by volunteers who have a heart to minister to widows as the Lord has encouraged us in scripture:
James 1:27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

Volunteers are needed on Saturdays: November through February
The wood yard is open from 8:30 AM - 12:30PM most Saturdays
Please consider volunteering for a 2 hour (8:30-10:30 AM or
10:30 AM -12:30 PM) or a 4 hour shift (8:30 AM -12:30 PM)

All tasks volunteered for on the wood yard include safety training

We need volunteers for:
Chain Saw Cutting
Splitting Wood (using hydraulic splitters)
Stacking Wood
Loading wood to be delivered
Delivering Wood to Widows
Ministry Teams for Wood Delivery (Prayer & Visitation)
Food Ministry (making snacks and lunch for volunteers working)
